Mine Evolution

Mine Evolution is a simulation game designed to educate players about modern mining while simultaneously being enjoyable to play. Players manage their own mining operation, open various mines across the provinces of Canada, balance profits with ecological and social resources, and research technologies that will take their mines from present day into the future. All the while, players are learning about modern mining techniques and equipment, educating them about the minerals that control modern technology.

What I Did on This Project

Created tutorial system, including in-game dialogue and help windows, that progressed as the player completed conditions
Implemented save states during the tutorial, including an option to skip entirely on a new game
Modified tutorial as necessary during active development
Worked independently in a remote environment during a critical part of production
